The Christian’s i·den·ti·ty

4.The Christian’s identity is to live as an ambassador for Christ.  (2 Corinthians 5:20)

Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God

(ESV)

What Paul is describing in verse 20 is that we are representatives of the King of heaven, Jesus Christ.  Paul continues to state the purpose given as ambassadors,  our purpose as a representative is to be an instrument in which God would use to make an appeal to a lost dying world to be reconciled to God.

What an amazing God to use men and women like us for His great purpose!!

The question you must ask yourself is this:  Am I living today like a faithful representative of the King?  Am I the type of instrument that God could use to make an appeal to a lost dying world?  A good ambassador is what the Christian should look like.  Christian this is your identifying mark!
