The Christian’s i·den·ti·ty

  1. The Christian’s identity is to be an Image-bearer of God (Genesis 1:26).

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”

(ESV)

Being an image bearer expresses the uniqueness of man from everything else God created.  God has given man the ability to embody His communicable (capable of being) attributes.

The question you must ask yourself is this:  Am I living in a manner, that the way I live resembles the image of my Savior, Jesus. Ponder this question:  Do I look like my Savior?
